Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Personally, I have been involved with humanitarian causes since 2014 as I was in the midst of my spiritual change/Hijrah. I felt like something inside me had awoken. I was affected by many of the issues that was and is still going on in the world today. The veil over my heart had been lifted, and I had found my purpose in life; that is to sincerely worship Allah alone and serve in His way, to help, give back, and share my blessings with others to the best of my ability in accordance to the Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet SAW.
I was very much affected by the 2014 War in Gaza during the month of Ramadan and I felt like I really needed to take action. I made constant prayer and asked God to guide me to meet the right people so that I can learn and also serve those in need, especially the poor, needy, the refugees, and those who were victims of the war. And from Gaza, my humanitarian journey had led me to faraway places like Jordan, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Africa. A chance conversation with an NGO in Palu, Indonesia during 2019 earthquake and tsunami pushed me to name the movement that I was representing. And that was how, the idea of Min-Qalby was born. All praise to Allah, the right people just kept showing of in my life and together with these people, the building blocks for the formation of the Min Qalby Foundation was set.
Apart from the humanitarian movement, I wanted the foundation to work on impact-driven projects. The idea is to develop projects that can sustain in the long run and to continue to have a positive impact to the surrounding community. Hence, why the diversification of projects under the Min Qalby Foundation umberella. It is my hope that this wil continue long after me, and to continue through the next generations, in shaa Allah.
Warm regards,
